πt (Pit)
A physical AI agent for your desk: push a button, ask for something, and it plans, uses real tools and answers out loud.

The idea
AI agents live in browser tabs. What if one lived on your desk, and you could just talk to it?
What we built in 48 hours
With ampersand, at a hackathon in June 2026:
- The device: an ESP32-S3 with a ReSpeaker microphone array, a speaker and LED rings that animate while it listens and thinks.
- The loop: push to talk → audio streams over WebSocket to a Python backend → Whisper transcribes → Claude makes a plan → it runs real tools → it answers in spoken Spanish.
- Real tools, not a demo: it can search and open issues and pull requests on GitHub, hand coding tasks to Claude Code and run a strict allowlist of shell commands like tests and git status.
What's next
The prototype proved the whole pipeline works end to end, and also hit the limits of the hardware we picked. We're planning a v2 built properly instead of patching the hackathon version.
