sweeply
An open-source terminal app that finds the node_modules, build folders and caches eating your disk, and tells you which ones are safe to delete.

Demo
The problem
Old projects quietly eat your disk: node_modules, .next, dist, Python virtualenvs, Rust target, iOS Pods. Tools to delete them exist, but none tell you whether deleting is actually safe.
What I built
npx sweeply opens an interactive terminal UI that scans your machine, groups the dead weight by project and deletes it with confirmation.
- Multi-ecosystem: JavaScript, Python, Rust, iOS and more, in one scan.
- A safety traffic light per project based on git: green when everything is pushed, yellow when there's local work, red when it's not a repo at all and deleting would be unrecoverable.
- Bilingual: English by default, Spanish if your system is in Spanish.
Shipping it properly
Published on npm with trusted publishing and provenance, a protected main branch, CI with type checks and CodeQL, Dependabot and secret scanning. A tool that deletes files has to be boringly trustworthy.
